Mission
Ark House is dedicated to providing comfortable, affordable housing to patients and families who must come to Dallas for critically needed medical treatment.

Services
The Ark House provides low-cost temporary housing for out-of-town patients and/or their families while undergoing medical treatment in the Dallas area. Their 18 fully furnished one bedroom apartments are located near Baylor, Presbyterian, and Medical City Hospitals. In addition to providing a place to stay, the Ark House also provides a shepherd (liaison) to the occupants.  Patients and families come from Texas, surrounding states, and even some foreign countries, and are referred to the Ark House via Social Service departments of local hospitals.

Volunteer Opportunities

Long Term: Serve as “shepherd” to occupants of Ark House Apartments
(The liaison assists by answering questions, advising locations of stores
and services, and providing a friendly ear.) 

Short Term: Clean up the apartment for the next family;  Provide hospitality baskets.

Financial Donations
The $15 per night charge meets approximately 50% of the annual budget.  Ark House must rely on corporate and private contributers, church organizations, special events, and other fund raising efforts to supply the remaining 50% of the budget.
